Marten practices primarily in the area of litigation focusing on criminal law. He is also generally engaged in the matters of general commercial litigation, wills and estates and residential real estate. Focusing on achieving results that deliver on the goals of clients, his advice addresses both the practical and political components of the big picture. Marten is is dedicated to responding to client needs in a timely and cost effective manner.
Locally raised, he attended high school in Guelph following which he attended the University of Guelph and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1998. In 2001, he obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2002.
Marten is married with two children. When not taxiing his children to various activities Marten enjoys playing hockey, squash and rugby. Over the years, Marten has volunteered at the high school level as a coach of the rugby program.
