Stephanie Sutherland practises in the field of civil litigation, focusing on environmental, construction, condominium, insurance and employment matters. Her other areas of interest include intellectual property, administrative law and animal rights law.

Stephanie completed a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree (Honours) from the University of Guelph. She then attended the University of Western Ontario, where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree with a specialization in Intellectual Property and Information Technology. She articled at a prominent national firm in Ottawa, and was called to the bar in 2009. Stephanie practised briefly at a small firm in Toronto before joining SmithValeriote Law Firm LLP.

Stephanie was raised in Northern Ontario, but since attending the University of Guelph she has considered Guelph her home. She is active in the community and is a member of the Zonta Club of Guelph. Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys knitting, reading, attending concerts, playing golf and spending time with her boyfriend, friends, family and pets.
