Robert Dowhan obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Western Ontario. He was called to the bar in 2001 and has worked for SmithValeriote for five years.
Bob has extensive experience in Employment and Labour Law, which includes drafting, interpreting and implementing workplace policies and systems and advising employers on compliance with all applicable employment statutes and regulations along with any common law obligations, wrongful dismissal and Human Rights litigation.
He has a firm understanding of:

Bob and his wife, Kate have a rambunctious son, “Little B”, who keeps him busy during his free hours. As an avid physical fitness enthusiast, Bob enjoys basketball and baseball. He also spends his leisure time playing sports, fishing and exploring the outdoors. Kate is a trained chef, so they share a love of cooking, baking and eating.
Bob is also actively involved in the community as a member of the Rotary Club of Guelph Wellington, a participant in the “Fat Mans” Basketball League, and a Board Member of the Guelph Youth Music Centre.
