Michelle was born and raised in Guelph. After high school, she attended the University of Guelph where she obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2006. She earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ottawa, graduating with honours in 2009. While studying in Ottawa, Michelle clerked for the Regional Senior Justice, the Honourable Madam Justice Maisonneuve, and completed internships at the Department of Justice and Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC). In 2008, she returned to Guelph to work for SmithValeriote as a summer student. Following law school, she returned to SmithValeriote to complete her articles. Michelle was called to the bar in 2010.
Michelle’s primary practice is condominium law. She is a member of the Golden Horseshoe, London and Toronto Chapters of the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI). She is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association and Wellington Law Association.
Outside of the office, Michelle spends her time volunteering with a number of local organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters and A Community for Offender Reconciliation and Diversion (ACORD).
