Lisa Gazzola is a partner at SmithValeriote Law Firm LLP, where she has practised since 1994. She is a registered trade-mark agent, advising on such matters as filing and prosecuting trade-mark applications in Canada. Lisa’s business law practice includes drafting contracts, setting up new businesses, reviewing and drafting shareholders agreements, corporate and tax-driven reorganizations, share/asset purchase transactions, and financing and secured transactions. Lisa’s practice also includes residential and commercial real estate. She helps her business and individual clients with their estate and succession planning through wills, powers of attorney, trusts, corporate reorganizations, and estate administration.

Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1992. She has completed the In-Depth Tax Course offered by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Lisa is involved in the community, serving as a Director on the board of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Guelph Chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women. Lisa previously completed a nine year term on the board of the St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation, where she also chaired the Planned Giving Committee. Lisa was born, raised and lives in Guelph with her husband and two children. Outside of the office Lisa enjoys playing a variety of sports and is an avid runner.
