Alysha graduated with a B.A. (Hons.) from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2006 where she majored in Political Science with a minor in Sociology. Thereafter, she enrolled in the Law Schools at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy and graduated with LL.B and J.D. degrees respectively. Alysha received her Call to the Bar in 2010.
Alysha summered with and completed her articles at a law firm in London Ontario where she worked extensively in Family Law and quickly developed and demonstrated an affinity for all facets of this discipline. With her passion for Family Law, Alysha is committed to a career in this field and seeks to assist clients in satisfactorily resolving issues and establishing fresh starts. While in London, Alysha was actively involved with a number of professional organizations, including the Middlesex Family Law Association, and looks forward to a similar involvement in Guelph.
Throughout her university career, Alysha was actively involved in community activities, which has included fundraising for Diabetes and Breast Cancer research, the United Way, legal aid and women’s shelters. Volunteerism has been an integral part of Alysha’s background and, as new resident of Guelph, she will look for opportunities to contribute to the betterment of the community.
Outside the practise of law, Alysha enjoys the Arts, physical fitness, travel and reading for pleasure.
